See Graumann’s Chinese Theatre, with it’s plaza of autographs and impressions in concrete by stars. Every time I have been there, I observe that no one is immune to this place’s charm. No one is “too cool” for this 80 year old institution. Loving movie history and movie culture helps, of course. But who doesn’t know who Clark Gable, Humphrey Bogart, Bette Davis, Marilyn Monroe, et al are?
(While there, take in a movie in the theater — grand old palace.)
Always a crowd pleaser.
———Also, go to Griffith Park Observatory, where Rebel Without A Cause was, in part, filmed. Cool planetarium, with a neat movie tie-in.
