As Roadtrip SUV transportation equipment on a plane?
I need extra fuel tanks and large items on a journey of adventure out of way Alaska. I'm flying to Alaska and driving. The problem is that these do not fit in hand luggage. These can not be checked in luggage, because there is no sure if the items flights do not and can easily be stolen. Even if not, checked baggage fees will cost tremendous. What are you doing this? Do most of hostels or car center will allow the sending of items to collect them, then ship them back?
I would contact the Car rental company. They may have some of these things available for rent or to reach Alaska. If not you will take care of equipment sent to the agency to you can pick up the car. Be aware that the shipping takes 2-3 days to most places here (no matter what the agent say UPS) Mt Redoubt and recently has been causing some problems with flights. An example of things that can go wrong and delay your shipment. SO you would advance. Depending where you are getting your platform may be able to buy something you need when you get here. It might be better for some items so you can get the proper equipment to Alaska. And considering the cost of shipping can be a good option for some items. Again, your agent should be able to lease advice. But if you come to Fairbanks or Anchorage you can get your team there.
